What's Happening this Fall?

Wednesday Nights

LHUMC is the place to be on Wednesday nights youth! Beginning at 5:45, there is a meal in Fellowship Hall. The tasty homemade dinner is followed by group games at 6:30, and then splitting off into small groups at 7:00.  For more information on the different small group opportunities, please check out the "Confirmation Happenings" link or the "Senior High Drop In" link listed on the left.

Retreats, Activities, and Other Events

There are many retreats, activities, and other events that take place during the year at LHUMC for youth.  Some of these include a Ski Trip over Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, heading out to Trail of Terror during Halloween, lock-ins, service events, and more.  For the latest on these activities, please be sure to check out the calendar, youth bulletin board (located by the Youth Room), the church bulletin and the Youth E-Newsletter.

Summer Mission Trips

The wonderful mission trips we participate in here at LHUMC are a year-round activity!  Beginning in October, sign up and registration for the two mission trips will begin.  There are meetings, fundraisers, and service opportunities affiliated with each mission trip throughout the year for youth and their families to participate with.  These provide excellent opportunities for the participants to get to know each other and to share their excitement with the congregation.

  • The Junior High Mission Trip partners with the organization YouthWorks!  This summer we will be heading to Milwaukee, WI.  Please check out the "Mission Trips" link listed on the left for more information.
  • The Senior High Mission Trip partners with the organization Appalachia Service Project (ASP).  This summer we will be heading back down to the beautiful Appalachia area to help keep homes safer, drier, and warmer in the name of Christ.  Please check out the "Mission Trips" link listed on the left for more information.
