What's Happening this Summer?

Youth Movie Tuesdays

It's exactly what it sounds like. We gather at 2 pm on select Tuesdays to watch a movie together. Bring snacks, drinks, a blanket, or whatever else you need to settle in and relax!  All 7th - 12th grade youth are welcome, and so are friends! Check the Youth Calendar (link on left) for the exact dates.

Lunch on Wednesday (LOW)

Again, this is exactly what it sounds like. All 7th - 12th grade youth (and friends!) are invited to meet up at LHUMC at 11:30 on Wednesdays this summer. We will then head off for some tasty grub, and then it's back to church by 1:00.  Bring your own $ for lunch (about $10 should cover it).  Check the Youth Calendar (link on left) for the exact dates.

Summer Mission Trips

The wonderful mission trips we participate in here at LHUMC are a year-round activity!  Beginning in October, sign up and registration for the two mission trips will begin.  There are meetings, fundraisers, and service opportunities affiliated with each mission trip throughout the year for youth and their families to participate with.  These provide excellent opportunities for the participants to get to know each other and to share their excitement with the congregation.

  • The Junior High Mission Trip partners with the organization YouthWorks!  This summer we will be heading to Milwaukee, WI.  Please check out the "Mission Trips" link listed on the left for more information.
  • The Senior High Mission Trip partners with the organization Appalachia Service Project (ASP).  This summer we will be heading back down to the beautiful Appalachia area to help keep homes safer, drier, and warmer in the name of Christ.  Please check out the "Mission Trips" link listed on the left for more information.
