When he peers into the empty tomb and sees the linen cloth\, he is filled with awe. Even after the biggest failures\, even after the worst case scenario has happened\, can we run toward hope? Like Peter\, will we keep going? Will we keep looking for God in our midst? \nJoin us for worship on this day of celebration: “He is Risen!” either at 9:30 am or 11 am.

SUMMARY:Spring Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Spring Retreat\n\n\n\n\nPlease join us for our Spring Retreat on April 19 – 20. We are once again holding the retreat at Mt. Olivet Retreat center in Farmington. The theme this year is “Connecting in Hope.” In these challenging times\, it is easy to become overwhelmed. Come and get away for a time to relax\, contemplate\, enjoy nature\, and connect with your church family. \nPeter Watkins will be our retreat leader. He is a colleague of Susan Stabile\, who has led the last 2 Spring Retreats. He comes highly recommended and has some wonderful activities planned for us. \nThis year we have an overnight option\, but both days are stand alone sessions\, so if you can only make it Saturday\, NO PROBLEM! Saturday’s session runs from 9am – 4pm. \nCost for overnight stay is $100 per person for double occupancy and $150 for single occupancy. All are private rooms. This includes Friday night dinner\, Saturday breakfast and lunch. Saturday session is only $25 and includes lunch. We are able to offer these reduced rates because of a generous grant from the Lily Foundation. \nRegistration deadline is April 5th. Hope to see you all there!!

Speaks \nAs United Methodists\, we belong to a religious movement whose roots stretch back to the Reformations of the 16th century: we are Protestant Christians. Have you ever wondered what it means to be a “Protestant?” Does it mean something more than simply “not Catholic?” In this class we will explore answers to that fundamental question of our religious identity. Instructor Jeff Speaks will help unpack the theology underlying the Protestant Reformation\, with a focus on three key figures: Martin Luther\, John Calvin\, and John Wesley. In addition to understanding the key contributions of their theologies\, participants will be given the opportunity to explore what it means to be a Protestant in our own historical moment.

This is a thank you for your support of our Capital Fundraiser Campaign last year. We will be serving: Pancakes\, waffles\, sausage\, bacon\, scrambled eggs\, coffee\, tea\, milk\, orange juice. \nThis will take place on Sunday\, November 17th in the Fellowship Hall. Two serving times 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 am-Noon. There will be No Charge for this breakfast. There will be a free will donation to help offset the cost of the food. Contribute what you feel the breakfast is worth. Any money left over will go to support the amazing Capital Fundraiser we all helped support this past year. \nWe need you to make reservations so we can plan to prepare enough food.
