Event Series: Sacred Reckonings

Sacred Reckonings

November 9 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Sacred Reckonings is designed specifically to help faith communities move beyond symbolic gestures of solidarity into the deep work of structural repair, racial justice, and historical truth-telling. Through guided reflection, communal study, and practical action, our cohort will engage directly with the history of land, labor, and wealth, exploring how our faith calls us to active repair.

Members of LHUMC have been invited to join Sacred Reckonings Training this fall at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church, 5011 31st Ave S in Minneapolis.

Meetings:
Fri., September 18: 5-8:30 pm CT
Sat., September 19: 9:30 am-4:30 pm CT

Friday evening will include a pilgrimage from Bdote to George Floyd Square to Renee Good Memorial to Alex Pretty Memorial with some storytelling and history weaving around the Doctrine of Discovery. This will be in partnership with Rev. Jim Bear Jacobs. Saturday will
include more in depth work around the Sacred Reckonings process and the Reparatory EcoMap.

Then continue learning ONLINE for Sessions 3-5:
